World of Hoya

Hoya is a epiphytic plant from the tropics of South-East Asia and North-West Australia. Our 300 different species has been found, and almost all species in cultivation orginate from cuttings collected from wild plants. The taxonomy is somewhat unclear and is due to changes. The names of the species may differ and corrections are made on regular basis. Many plants circulate under wrong names; when the plant start flowering you might find out that it was a different species than you thought.

Most of the Hoya species are easily cultivated in-house and you don't need to be an expert to start growing them your selves. Many Hoyas blooms easily and often and fill the rooms with different scents.
